Like us, you might be interested in the environment.  We do all we can to reduce our waste and recycle what we can.  In keeping with our eco-friendly environment, Le Phare Bleu uses only non-toxic chemical solutions for all of our cleaning needs in guest rooms, public areas, and the restaurants.  In addition, we take great pride in the reduction of plastic bags within our resort and have started to convey to our community as a whole the importance of using reusable bags for their shopping and household needs.

Recycling is a fairly new concept here in Grenada and it is normal to throw everything away which is then taken to a landfill; but this cannot be sustained.

The Compost Project

Our kitchen staff is learning the importance of recycling and thus are keeping all the peelings and cuttings of the vegetables and fruits for our compost.

Le Phare Bleu’s gardening team cares for the composting bins making sure the right conditions are reached to make the homemade compost.  As a result of our composting efforts, the gardens at Le Phare Bleu have won a gold medal from the Grenada Horticulture Society.
